General FAQ's

We’d suggest that you start with the Diploma in Natural Cosmetic Skincare Formulation (NSF) course, which is particularly suited to beginners who’ve never made skincare products before.

On enrolment for both courses you will be given a list of products and raw materials needed. We will recommend high quality ingredients from our dedicated supplier who ship worldwide. 

You may also wish to purchase some locally-sourced ingredients for your own skincare formulations which we actively encourage throughout the course.

Yes, the PEOT clinical aromatherapy course is formally assessed at several stages during your course.

Firstly, you will need to complete internal assessments during your coursework. There is a minimum pass-mark you need to achieve in order to proceed onto the next module, allowing your tutor to check on your current progress, and to highlight any areas of extra support that you may benefit from before proceeding forwards.

Upon the completion of your course, you will also be required to complete both the Essential Oils Therapy Examination Paper, & Anatomy & Physiology Examination Paper (exemptions may apply.) These are both formally assessed external exams taken with the IFA. You are also required to present your coursework in a portfolio. At the completion stage of each coursework module there is an internal assessment that you are required to complete in order to check your learning and understanding of the topics covered. There is a minimum pass-mark you need to achieve in order to proceed onto the next module. This allows your tutor to check on your current progress, and to highlight any areas of extra support that you may benefit from before proceeding forwards.

Upon completion of the course you will be required to submit your skincare range portfolio, as outlined during your coursework. This product range will be assessed as part of your final assessment, before your final grading and the issuing of your course completion certificate. 

The courses are a mixture of videos, workbooks, and learning resources. For our video-based content, we film in 4K & HD quality, with product demonstrations being shown in multiple camera angles so you can see exactly what the tutor is presenting to you.

We have invested in our own custom designed e-learning platform, to both deliver our courses and allow students to interact all under one website, and mobile app.

Without reliance on other social media companies or providers, we can ensure that any data that you provide us with is 100% secure. We do not sell data onto third-parties.

Yes, we offer a monthly payment option for our both our PEOT Diploma & NSF Diploma courses. 

We accept a limited number of students on each enrolment. Places are secured with a payment deposit. Please visit the relevant course page for further details. 

We run our courses via set term times during the year in order for our students to study at the same time, which also enables students to engage with each other, their tutors, and mentors via the Student Groups & Discussion Forum’s section of the website and mobile app.

You will be able to access your course in the next available term advertised on the relevant course page.

You can purchase the course anytime via the website ready for the next upcoming term. Places on our courses are limited to enable us to allocate tutors to our students. We reserve the right to close the enrolment early to ensure we can offer the best possible service to those who are already booked onto the course.

Once you have purchased your course you will receive an email asking you to create a password to login the Purodem Academy members area, where you’ll access your course, and the social platform to interact with fellow students, mentors, and tutors. Please follow the link in your email to get started,

Once you are registered via the website, you use the same login details to access the Purodem mobile app, available on the App Store or Google Play Store (coming late 2022) to access your courses, study online and interact with the Purodem community whilst on the go.

Student Support

Our student community is located in the private members area of the website, Purodem Academy. Please click the Student Log In button and enter the email address and password you entered when signing up for the course.

You can also access the exclusive Members Area via our Purodem app, downloadable from the Apple App Store, or Google Play Store, depending on your mobile device type. 

Log in to the Purodem Academy and head to the course group page where you’ll find your tutor, and associated mentors. Please direct any questions you have regarding your courses to them, who will be pleased to help you in a timely manner. 

You can re-take the end of module assessments up to three times, before being referred to tutor support. Please revise over the course material to familiarise yourself with a much information as you can prior to taking the test. If you are still having trouble, please head over to the course group where you can speak directly to your tutor, or group mentors, where they will be happy to help.

The course modules have been designed and written to build on your knowledge as you proceed through the course. Once you have completed a module, and submitted coursework and taken the end of module your tutor will assess your progress before moving onto the next part of your coursework.

Please ensure that you have followed the the links and created your password via the registration emails that you will have received on purchase of your course. If you haven’t received this email, or still having trouble please contact us and we will look into this for you.

We host our videos with Vimeo which is blocked by some countries around the world, notably China & Turkey. There are ways around these restrictions using a VPN, however, with regards to legal responsibilities, Purodem cannot recommend them. If you are affected by this issue, please Contact Us.

Please download the Purodem app via your devices App Store (Apple) or Google Play (Android.) Once installed you will be requested to enter your user ID and password that you registered online at the time of course purchase.

Unfortunately we don’t allow students to download the video course content. However, you can download and keep your text-based document PDF’s, and other assorted course materials.
